Long story short, I managed to strip out my speedo gear on the differential. It's not very fun driving my car by gear/rpm every day. I don't have cruise anymore, and my fuel mileage is terrible.
I need to find a replacement gear. I noticed on an ebay listing Synchrotech was selling used b16/b18/h22 speedo gears. They mentioned that it would work for SOME h22's.
I don't want to waste their time calling them, because if it will work, I have 4 of them. I don't want to call them and ask them if I can get away with not giving them any money.
If it will not work, where can I source one out of? Would one out of an f22 trans work, even on the m2b4 lsd?
I appreciate any info you guys can provide me with. It's been 4 months without a speedo, and it's time to stop worrying about how off my factory tach is, and if I'm at 1700rpm or 2000rpm in 5th.. that's the difference between 36mph and 43mph... that could turn into a $150 speeding ticket.
