    Airfilter differences?

Gotta be honest with you, i'm not so familiar with the aftermarket airfilters so I decided that i'm going to ask. I know that my car isn't anykind of racing machine but i still would like to make it the best I can. I'm thinking of buying AEM or K&N product but what's the best choice? And no i'm not comparing those two brands but would like to know the differences between airfilters. There are straight, cone, reverse and etc. Could be that the difference in this case isn't noticable, but a little help wouldn't hurt before buying. Also there haven't been a lot of conversation about specific filters. Usually it's just CAI vs SRI talk. Maybe we could build somekind of comparison here about the differences on airfilters...or not.

Last time I checked k&n filters use oil, and aem are dry meaning no need to reoil them.

      air filters

You don't need a fancy intake with the cone filters to gain power, all getting one of those will do is cost you more money and they make you car a little louder in a good way.I have one on one of my cb7's and it looks cool but you can get the same airflow out of a good filter in your stock air box.All the cone (power adder)air filters are just universal cotton air filters that look cool.you can get the same flow out of a good cotton air filter for your stock box. When you use a stock intake don't ever use the paper filters because they restrict to much but like I said just get a cotton filter for your stock box like this one > http://store.knfilters.com/search/pr...x?Prod=33-2613 It dose use oil but that is a good thing because oil helps trap dirt.If you get that filter or one like it that takes oil they normally come preoiled and you only need to reoil them after you clean them.I think its worth it tho because I they work a little better.
