Fuel Pump

So my car has been acting up, i changes the fuel filter and that made no difference because the problem happened again today, i need a Fuel Pump, does anyone recommend what fuel pump to get or which one not to get? I found some on ebay and cheapest is $25.95? help please..

Oh by the way, the problem with my car was sometimes it would not start.. until i started using starting fluid so i was told it was something with the fuel delivery (Fuel Pump or Fuel Filter)

i went to oriely's and paid 134.99 for a new one, a lot of people will recommend a walbro 255. i think i spelled that right. but if you want to get a reliable part that will fit properly i don't suggest ebay. i always try to buy part's like that locally. just in case something doesn't fit right or part's are missing etc. hope this helps you out

how did you find out that your fuel pump is giving up on you? did you perform a fuel pump pressure test to find out? if not i suggest you do.after that check on the main relay and take a closer look (with a magnifying class) on the soldering points,if your lucky you could find round cranks on the tips.

My AutoTech teacher said it was either going to be the Fuel Filter Or Fuel Pump, so we changes filter...made no difference but the experience worked.. ahha now i bought a Pierce Fuel Pump Kit.. i will replace the pump.. if not i'm guessing it will be the main relay.. too late to check now tho now that i have a new pump!
