    Is my clutch done/gone/cooked/dead

Ok so today on my way home from work My car is driving normaly. Then I noticed all of a sudden my rpms raise but my car does not axcelarate but once i let off it goes a lil then rpms go up and no speed increase. My clutch was replaced about 6 months before I bought it (says paper work in car when bought and PO). It has never slipped on me or anything are clutches known to just go out of the blue??

I was not popping my Clutch or dumping it or anything Like that just normal driving and normal shifting.

That used to happen in my last CB.
Then I realized that I was resting my foot on the clutch.

Something is wrong with your clutch mechanism. I don't know what would cause it to do that intermittently, like you've been experiencing, but something is off.

A basic test of clutch function: Hold your brake (or just put your e brake on) Put the gear select knob in first, then let the clutch pedal slowly up.

If your car doesn't stall, then your clutch mechanism just took a dump.

It doesn't sound like your clutch is as bad as that, there's something more mysterious/intermittent going on.

Keep in mind, I lost my 5 spd virginity in that car. As hard as it was for me to admit, it was my fault. I didn't realize it until I drove my friend's EF.
What I was trying to say was, it wasn't my clutch, but it was something obscure. Make sure nothing is wrong with your lines, slave cylinder, or your foot.

This is the clutch or pressure plate. One or the other. My car just did the same thing changed the clutch flywheel and pressure plate. All good now.

My clutch is now fine I let her sit for a couple hours. Then she ran fine. I took her for a 2 hour drive just to see if it would happen again and nothing.

the real test is to put a whole bunch of weight in the back or friends and go on a steep incline. putting around town isnt a stressful enough test for a clutch.

My clutch overheated when it was my first time running at the track, and it wouldn't let me go into second gear when I shifted out of first. Had to force it into 2nd gear and coast down the drag strip doing 29 sec. LOL!

Then I called it quite and watched other ppl race the whole day and when my buddies and I were leaving, the car shifted fine. So I figured, my clutch overheated and just needed to be cooled off. I freaking hated F1 Racing clutch kit ever since. Then a week later, I replaced it with a Exedy stage 1 clutch kit with a 8lb flywheel. Loved it ever since.
