    F22 A/C problems...

Hey everyone... Recently my A/C compressor began cycling on and off when the car was at idle. Once the rev's increase as I drive, the compressor stops cycling on and off, and operates normally. Every time I come to a stop, the process repeats. The air blows very cold.

Now, as of yesterday, it cycles non stop no matter what.
Could it be a pressure/cycle switch? Or could it be overcharged?

    Any help appreciated.

Sounds like your expansion valve has bit the dust. Mine was doing that yesterday. I put the gauges on it and I was only reading 15 on the low side when I should have been reading 45. I had just filled it with freon. Today it stayed on the whole time and had a mini blizzard inside of my car.

When it is cycling on and off, look at the sight glass on the drier. You shouldn't see alot of bubbles. Depending on what freon you are using, it may bubble a little. But I have hotshot in my system and there is the occasional bubble here and there which is normal for that freon. If its cloudy or see alot of bubbles, you are low on freon. But since you have ice cold air, I doubt you are having a freon issue.
