    Exhaust Questions

Ok so I'm thinking about my exhaust and what an H22 will do to the current.
I'm running a 2.25 inch pipe from the cat to the muffler. The muffler has a 4 inch outlet.

What I'm thinking is when I do the swap I should get a high flow cat but I can't find one with the diameter I need. The shop I go to says I may loose power going up to 2.5 inches.

    Any thoughts, anybody.

If it is a stock h22 2.5 is a little big with my experiance.

you'll definitely MAKE power with a 2.5" exhaust. Since the H22 flows so much more than the F22, a bigger, more free flowing exhaust is almost necessary.

I enlarged my collector from the puny 2" size the GReddy header had to 2.5" and noticed a good increase in not only power, but torque as well.

I think there's a dyno chart showing a stock H22 even making power with a 3" catback exhaust.
