Auto to 5spd Swap, Reverse Lights on when in gear, turn off when in Reverse!

Hey guys, i did my swap a long time ago, and never got the reverse lights to work properly. I got a Vehicle Inspection coming up so i gotta fix everything, including reverse lights.

So the way i wired it is; 2 Wires from Reverse Light Switch on top of the tranny, directly to the grey plug from the old auto tranny (green/black and yellow wire). I tried swapping the wires but didnt make a difference.

So what happens is when im in Gear (1-5) the reverse lights are ON, but when i put it into Reverse the reverse lights turn OFF.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

Wow, that's really weird! The switch on the tranny allows continuity when the tranny is in reverse and no continuity in gear so switching the wires won't do anything. Do you have a multimeter? Take out the two wires plugging into the switch and test the wires on the switch side for continuity in reverse to see if the switch is malfunctioning.

The 2 wires at the old shifter harness should be the 2 wires on the bottom row (the row with 7 wires) middle of the big main harness. Yellow is 12V and green/black goes to the reverse lights on the trunk.
