    Help removing EX HEAD

I have my car completly Stripped except rear Disks and engine. Can anyone help me out on removing the head? I tryed with handtools I had and I cant get any of the bolts loose.

My friend tryed and couldnt get anything eaither. I just don't want to strip them and make them no good.

See i wanna clean the head since I sold the valve cover and just realized im going to swap this engine in another car. And now theres little particales of dirt in it :-/ from wind etc.

Let me know if you can help me pics are welcome

first of all you never sease to amaze me, u should always cover an engine even if its old so no shit gets into it, also doesnt your engine have over 220k on it? man you do shit all wrong. and grow some balls and turn the fucking wrench cmon now. get the right tools and do the job right or dont do it at all.

wait....? you want to take the whole head off just to remove a little bit of crude? It just doesn't make any sence to me, why don't you just leave it and when you buy a new valve cover I think the oil might help it down to the pan where the oil pump has a strainer? Sorry if I didn't understand you right? just a thought.

Yeah, I am trying to pull the head off my old F22 to see the valves and how bent they are. I broke 2 craftsmen sockets and only managed to get one of the head bolts loose. it is definately a bitch. I suggest getting some really strong sockets and a good leverage bar to break them lose without killing yourself.

And guys. why do you see it fit to bash someone for doing something you wouldn't do. It is none of your business why he wants to remove the head. Even if it is only for a few lil dirt particles. he asked for your help in getting it off, next time give him the info he needs and leave the shit talking to yourselves

Try using impact sockets (the black ones) to take the head bolts off. Use a breaker bar or large wratchet to take it off. Let me know if you need any more help. Oh yeah....93accord.....What gives you the right to give Maple shit? Mind your own business.....

Just use a nice big breaker bar this way you dont have to worry about breaking it. If you insist on using little 3/4" ratchets, than take a 17mm or bigger wrench and put the rounded side around the end of the ratchet to increase your leverage.

err stop making this a hate thread. I asked a question.

I need to remove the whole head. If i remove those 8 i think bolts will it just come off? Or is it in a spring etc. Can someone explain that. Im not very good with internal parts.

Once i get my laptop back I wanna show u these pics. I have everything out but suspention and engine/tranny.

it wont pop right off the heat from the engine basically bonds thec 2 surfaces mating them together you have to use a rubber mallot to break the head loose. sucky job but stick to it.

do whatever he says. about the umpact sockets and use a long pipe to the rench and those bolts should come right off.

done it like this everytime i removed the f22a head off the car.

yeah use impact sockets with a breaker bar and maybe a steel pipe on the end of that for leverage

like i said my friends 91 integra and my old nissan pulsar had this ....
