Replace a windshield myself?

where do you live? I got mine changed last week for $140 tax included and warranty at Discount autoglass. if you live closeby you may want to try them.

Seems nobody has any faith but I've done a few to my cars in the past. I used guitar strings to cut the old glass out of the adhesive, a grinder and sander to make a fresh and flat matting area for the new glass, suction cup grips to propperly handle the new glass, and the 3M Urethane Bonding Adhesive. Let it sit for as long as you can. Try to not open/ close the doors or trunk while the adhesive is curing since this is main cause for leaks...not improper installation. I got a good windshield from a junkyard for $50 and spent another $15 on the adhesive and guitar strings and never had any leaking issues. What can I say, I'm a cheap and poor bastard!
