removing armrest?

i took the armrest off, now there is this metal peice sticking out...any way to get rid of it? i want it smooth so i can put seat covers over it.


edit: nevermind, i just took a electric saw to it.

Do what I did: carefully cut a hole in the side of the seat cover and fit it around the armrest. That way you not only have the seat covered, but also have a functional arm rest.

What I did (with a Walmart seatcover):

fit the seatback, mark where you are going to cut the hole, take off the seatcover, cut the hole, feed it over the top of the seat, fit it over the armrest, put the rest of the seatcover on.

If you don't want to cut a small hole in the seatcover or paid a lot of money for a nice one, then don't do it. I wouldn't want you to tear up a $100 sheepskin seatcover unless you had to.

Saw off the metal pieces and put the seat cover over it. Try to put something soft under there tho, b4 u scrape urself.

exactly what i was going to say jus cut off the metal rod and put the plastic cover over the hole then put the seat cover over that good as new
