WONT start.need help please...

so im driving my cb7 and it dies outta nowhere, i pushed it abt a 1/4 mile home....so many places to start on what could be wrong... i started stupid and simple an changed fuel filter... didnt help. then i decided it was the fuel pump before proper research was done on the relays of these cars. didnt help. fuel pump didnt get power, sooo i changed the main relay... didnt help. still wont crank! then i tested the pump and its good. i wired it to a hot fuse so it would push the fuel but still wont crank... could it be the ecu fuse or icm? please help. oh and to the noobs learn from me.... dont buy till you test and try...lmao

Have you done a proper troubleshoot? Have you even done a simple test to see if you have fuel and spark? I know you said the fuel pump wasnt turning on...but You should still start with that then go from there.

with you manually adding power to the fuel pump, I'd begin checking for spark. Then the coil, igniter, etc

i havent had the fire tested yet. i had the icm tested when i put the motor in bc it wasnt firing.im going to get it tested today. why wouldnt my fuel pump get power if i replaced the main relay?

did you even read my post man? the first sentence says i was driving and it died outta nowhere. lol. so my icm is good, yes my fuel pump was grounded. i took it to a buddy that is a pretty good mechanic, he got under the dash an started cutting chunks of wire out, and when it was all said an done i had a basketball sized chunk of wires and the car fired right up.... dont know why dont know how just did it. he said something about an alarm system being wired into everything electric on the car... oh well thanks for the advice anyways guys.

You say it won't crank? As in when you turn the key it does nothing, engine doesn't try and turn over or anything? Or does it crank but won't fire? If it does crank does it sound rythmic or does it sound like a whine?
