    Intermittent A/C...Thoughts?

Shouldn't say it's an a/c issue, but rather a blower issue. while driving yesterday my fan went out. regardless of a/c on or off, fan hi or low, I wasn't getting any air from the vents. read a couple of threads on here and most pointed to the blower motor being shot. well this morning driving around the fan was working fine. came home and pulled the blower assembly apart and tested the blower motor off a battery and it works fine. now I'm stumped. I'm guessing it could be the resistor box or the hvac controls going bad, but is there a way to test one or the other before I put everything back together only to have to take it back apart? car is a 92 cb9, bone stock with 201k on it and my daily driver and with it starting to turn colder I need to get this fixed asap!

go find you another fan control switch, so you can rule that out.

I know, just trying to rule out as much as I can at home before I head to the yard. I'd like to just buy another switch unit and resistor box but being laid off the money isn't there so testing is key.....

if its the original blower motor, I'd just replace it anyways since you have it out. Sounds like its about to fail if it works, then doesn't intermittently. I had to hit the bottom of the box when mine was going out.

True enough I guess....pulled it all apart, put it all together and it's working but it's not fixed.... next time I'm at the yard I'm going to pull a resistor box and a control panel just to be ready.....
