    transmission swap problems

    Took my car to a "friend of a friend" mechanic to swap an auto tranny. He took forever and said he was getting it from a 92 accord

    Well I got it back today and it shifts hard as hell and slips a little bit. D4 is constantly flashing and I have completely lost power steering. Oh annnddd my speedometer doesn't read at all.

    Needless to say, I'm taking it basck to him in the morning, and its too dark now to get a good look at the transmission...but any thoughts??

    The speedo not working could be because the VSS is dead or maybe he didn't hook up the electrical connector.

    I'd definitely take it back and have it look at his work again but then again i have never had any luck with the auto transmission in our cars.

      Would love a 5 speed swap, this was just the cheaper option
