thermo wrap on a/c hose

last year i cracked the a/c suction hose twice... and i never figured out why it kept happening. i was thinking it has something to do with the fact that i dont have a heat shield on the header along with constant vibration. it just gets too hot and cracks. its impossible for the motor to be moving and hit the hose cause i have a solid front mount, so the motor doesnt move at all.

i want to get some sort of heat resistant wrap that i can cover the hose with to reflect away heat from the header. what should i use?

or if you dont think thats the problem... whats causing it?

u talking about that hoze in front of the engine right?
there should be a heat wrap thing on it. and no the engine don't hit it and the headers don't do anything to if if there is the wrap one it. i have no head shield and everything its fine.

yea thats the hose im talking about. it doesnt crack up front by the radiator. it cracks all the way down to the right, where it bolts down.

what could cause it then. all i know is people comment alot about how hot it gets under my hood. and the H probably gives off more heat than a stock motor. but thats just a guess.

check your auto supply stores, I've seen heat wrap there before...
