So my cars been acting weird lately. Wont start up right away sometimes so i have to wait 5-15 mins till it decides it wants to start up and it studders when im on the freeway goin any faster than 60mph. And after following the Diagnose a Check Engine Light and S/D4 errors link i found out the O2 sensor was messin up so after researching where that sensor was located i look into my bay and where the O2 sensor is supposed to be theres just a hole. Could driving with no O2 sensor damage the engine bc if so i should get one soon. Apparently Ive been riding w/o since i got the car

Is there a hole in the exhaust manifold itself? Could be you have the o2 on the down pipe behind the flex portion and just the wrong heat shield. -

Yes, that can indeed damage the car to not run an o2 sensor... And good luck running the car in the winter if it doesn't have an o2 sensor.
But is your car an EX/SE? That will have an 02 sensor in the downpipe, kinda near the oil back of the pan.Comment

get a 02 sensor from ur local junk yard

Ex and se have them on the downpipe, lx and dx are on the header.Comment
