    NEW Problemo-

Flex pipe is now making a sort of vibrating metal noise, only when I accelerate hard. Anyone know if this is normal for a flex pipe during the break in? Respond anyone who is alive.

      BUMP

I changed my flex pipe also and have noticed the same thing. I also notice a burning smell.

I honestly can't tell if it's breaking in, or it wasn't welded right. Shit is PISSING me OFF.

i had my whole exhaust replaced, and i noticed a real Raspy noise, like metal vibrating (my flex pipe was replaced also)

also what is a resonator, is that the plates over the CAT, cause he removed those

the smell is coming, because its a new part and sometimes the metal burns off a little...i have dc headers and a dc downpipe and it smells like its burning a little sometimes, because its new...the burning smell should go away over some time.. the noise your talking about i would guess would be something wrong with the welds or the bolts. the bolts might not be on tight enough or there might be a leak in the new gasket or weld.

Follow up: Went to Meineke, they checked the welds, everything looked fine, revved the engine, also sounded fine... He couldn't take it out for a spin, because he claimed he was alone in the shop. He said bring it back tommorow, to take it for a spin...I'm just annoyed now, because no weld mistakes, and no hangin bolts...wtf is this...soooo annoying.

Hmmm... When I had a sound like that, it was because the exhaust was touching some part underneath the bottom of my car.. Chances are, when they installed the new pipe, they moved ur exhaust and it's coming in contact with the bottom of ur car...
