OEM Honda Gaskets on Megan Header

Will OEM Honda gaskets for the header fit on a Megan 4-2-1 header?
I'm tired of Megan gaskets and never going back.
Even if I put silicone on it, it still blows. -_-

if you are talking about the metal circle gaskets than yes, they will work. you will have to use silicone to hold them in place tho.

I changed mine with a better one, it cost me around 20-30$ cant remember and no problem since then. OEM ring will move after heated up and by repetitive bumps... so thats not a good option.

Follow this advice over going OEM. There are no proper "steps" in the megan header for the OEM's to fit totally right.

You can buy a sheet of gasket material and just cut them to fit. Consider buying a $7 can of copper adhesive spray (permatex from Autozone) and spray both sides of the gasket prior to install.

Obviously don't buy the rubber ones; but they have metallic fiber types that work well for exhausts.

GReddy sells a nice metal one with metal surrounding rings for 8 bucks! They're all the same dimensions pretty much. But this one's durable, exhaust gasses aren't getting past that. But also, make sure your flange surfaces aren't warped. Even on my Greddy header they were and was causing exhaust gasses to bypass this gasket. So I'd take your header completely off and have it possibly decked to be flat for the gasket to have a nice even surface to mate to. And given Megan's quality I would assume that the flanges are really warped.

I heard of Felpro. Maybe that's it?
If you do let me know! Thanks.

I'd probably just get a premade one. I don't have proper cutting tools.
But the installer used silicone I believe to help it but it still blew after a longer period of time than the original with no silicone.

            Thanks man!
I will definitaly look into this and the Felpro gaskets.

But if the header is warped, it's still under warranty and the shop is cool where I got it from. Does it cost a lot to unwarp the flange?

all you have to do to clean up the flange is find a grinder wide enough to sand the flange flat until its smooth.

Felpro MS 95088. Subaru exhaust manifold gaskets is what I used for my gf's knockoff 4-2-1 header. $10 for 2 of them.

Do you remember which Subaru exhaust gasket it was?
Thanks for listing the Felpro part number, their website configurator isn't working for me lol.

I would get the greddy one man, the felpro one looks like that fiber reinforced cardboard crap they use on the megan one. The exhaust gases blow right though that shit.

i actually tried getting one of those subaru gaskets from jcwhitney before my smegan stuff came in, its from a forrester i believe, i'll try to find the receipt. They canceled that from the shipment cause they dont have it apparently, but that's the gasket that was recommended in a couple other threads on here, let me know what ends up happening, i was thinking about getting oem from majestichonda but if its not gonna match up i'll split shipping with you if you find cheap good gaskets!

Any follow up on this thread?

Did you go with the Fel-Pro (why not order OEM Subaru metal if that) or Greddy?

Just curious how it worked out. My megan is still holding up, but for future reference.

The Subaru gasket held up fine for me, this is on a knock-off 4-2-1 header. In fact I re-used it when I took off the downpipe to repair it. No leaks, no blowouts. Yes, it is fiber type gasket with embedded metal rings around the exhaust "ports"

Application I looked up is 1995 Subaru Legacy, exhaust manifold gasket. You can buy solid copper manifold gaskets on eBay if you really don't believe in the stock style gaskets.
