I have not put a vacuum on yet my uncle has the equipment and he is bringing it next weekend. So untill then i'm going to finish my retrofit. O-rings on the compressor and new compressor oil.

what should I look for as im pulling a vacuum. What are some things that will hold vacuum, but not pressure? Will the compressor seales hold vacuum, even if their bad? I googled a little and saw that shrader valves, o-rings, and a couple other things, will hold vacuum but not pressure. If the condensor is bad though it will not hold vacuum, correct?

Mk. Its possible but unlikely any seals will hold vacuum and not pressure. If the condenser is "bad" it has a hole in it and it wont hold vacuum. If it hasnt rained in a while look for dark somewhat wet spots on the condenser. If so thats a leak.
