Maintenance Light On

Does the maintenance light simply a counter for an oil change for every 6,000 or 12,000 KM or is it just more?

My maintenance light is on and I have done a oil change about 3,500 KM age with Mobil 1 Super 2000 high mileage oil and a OEM Honda filter.

I have to do my coolant as it was done 2 years ago.
I added a 50/50 mix of OEM Honda coolant and water (from the tap, but it's clean (maybe not clean enough?)) in the coolant resolved last week.
And now the car has the fan going on for like 10-15 minutes after I turn the car off all the time. I filled it just to the max line but now it seems like half the coolant is gone from the reservoir.

It is just a mechanical timer, there are no sensors associated with it. IIRC it's an oil change reminder. You have to physically push the button to reset it when you do the service.

There's a slot next to it, you'll have to insert your key and it will reset.
