    changing rings without machine work....

ok before yal flame me for the post let me explain and share something. I bought an Accord with a f22b1 in it and it has no compression in 2 cylinders and low compression in the others 55 & 25 in the other 2(so the owner says, I haven't done my own leak down test yet. So it's either the rings are shot more than anything or the head gasket. Anyway I found out the the rings are only $60 shipped from ebay along with fresh bearings. Keep in mind I only paid $500 for the car. I need it for work/dd. I found this video that describes what I wanna do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmLfS2ESXEE Let me know what you think. Has anyone here changed rings without machine work?

IF you just needed rings machine work isnt required. Just a proper hone to break in the new rings. If the cylinders are damaged or out of spec it would need it. It would be wise to check it all if you want it to be reliable.
