alright so a fan timer from the jy failed, however ill try another one just incase i got a ba one. but i have the wires jumped for now so when i turn on my car the fans will come on, im gonna try to find a switch so i can manually turn them on so they wont run all the time and i dont burn up the motor. i think i have a wiring issue somewhere.

    well its food time.

i said screw it and put in a switch. i think its just some weird wiring thing cause the the old F22 motor there are two fan switches, condensor and cooling fan, this engine they are both on the same switch so its causing it to not come on, on time.

hope this thread helps anyone else with a F20B swap and is having this issue.

alright so ive got an update, ive had the time to get a coolant presser tester thing and hooked it up

heres what i did. hooked it up, pumped it to about 12 or 13 psi and its now below 10psi. so ive got a leak somewhere or a blown HG. i did this as soon as i got home so engine is warm.

i do not have my jack with me right now so i cant get under it ATM. however now i just need to find where its leaking. if nothing external then i guess its a HG. would everyone agree on that?

You can check that by doing a leak down and checking for bubbles in the radiator.

lol ill be doing that next, i mean now that i know its leaking from somewhere. and do you mean a bunch of really tiny bubbles? cause its def got that, not so much when cool but after its warmed up and i have it running with the rad cap off theres like super tiny bubbles. i thought that was normal. oh well.

            thanks dj_ender.

and r u a dj by chance? maybe a stupid question cause i notice what it says under your name. and im into that music.

You mean bubbles are coming out from around the cap when it's still tight on the radiator?

do the leak down test, and if you get any bubbles in the rad, its most likely a blown hg.

I used to be, not anymore. Haven't you seen my dubstep thread?

They make a fluid for testing failed head gaskets. It turns from blue to yellow when there is presence of CO2 I believe. Works good, use it all the time at the shop.

but can i put that stuff in my cooling system?
