i know everyone here is for iabs, but in someway would it be beneficial to run without them and the plate?ive been a member for a lil while here and have already done the gutted spacer stacked with a working set..helps in high rpms,so, with plenum bolted straight to runners, thus making shorter runners, would i get more pep down low?

I tried but if you have the a6 one it wont work. The fitv hits the runners. I think if you use the h23 plenum and tb you can probably do it but i dont see a point to it. I dont think youre going to gain anything down low.

im actually boosting this obd2 setup for my ej7,,i want to use obd2 f22b2 block with obd1 f22a6 head..will also be using an obd2 throttle body so i should be able to delete fitv ..anyway anyone know how this setup would work with boost?also with these motors compression ratio its like a slug down low..anyone put the rbc intake on their cb?i believe it made good gains

Your philosophy of fluid dynamics as it pertains to low and high-end power are flawed. Shorter runners will benefit top-end power at the cost of low-end torque. The feeling of additional power up top could be the fact that you've installed your spacer on top of the functional IAB plate and it is giving the effect of more plenum volume to the secondary intake ports. My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

on my previous setup i put the gutted spacer on the runner side with the butterflies up top making the runners longer..im just trying to compare to the euro r and rbc intake runner lengths to the a6 runners and plenum without any iab plates.and i should rephrase from my first post, faster take off in low rpms...minimal volume = faster engine response...Last edited by cb7attack66; 10-03-2012, 09:49 PM.
