How to add lucas addative to trans?

okay guys so heres the problem, my transmission(5spd) is hard to shift sometimes so i bought some lucas transmission fluid for hard shifting. Anyways fast foward i drain out some tranny fluid then realize the lucas oil is soo thick i cant get it in the transmission.. put a tube on the end of the bottle and in the tranny and it gets stuck in the tube. i need help i cant figure out how to get it in there now

Just use Honda mtf would ne my suggestion....if its too thick I don't think it will help with your hard to shift problem

Well if your are sure you want to use it, heat it up a little first. It'll thin out.

Personally, I would just use oem fluid.

I think somewhere on the bottle it actually tells you to heat it up... but, just think... if it's that thick in the container... when your transmission cools off, it's going to thicken again... Do you really want to put that in your transmission?

Sounds like it's a different issue.. I don't know much about transmissions but could be a synchro or something? I wouldn't put that lucas in there at all. that's just me.

First things first, I would do a transmission flush and put new Honda MTF in it and go from there.

Honda would be a good choice, or even Acura. I get my fluids at a shop that specializes in tuning hondas.

HONDA service manual calls for 10W30, 10W40, 20W40 or 30 with API SG or SF grade oil for manual transmission. Since you are up north, I would use 10W30 if it was me.

As for using that Lucas additive, I would say no.

GM synchromesh. that shit is on point. it makes a failing transmission last a little longer.
