PT6 ECU and IAB black box ?

I am sure this has been posted before but.

I have a 91 LX and plan on swapping H23 IM and a6 cam(when I can find one). I have a PT6 ecu but it is from an auto and my car is a manual. I think our cars have TCU so I believe this will be irrelevant but would like a confirmation.

I found a a6 cam today but the it had some metal debris in the engine and where the cam sat on the head it was all chewed up.

    Next question.
I have the black box for the IAB but part of it is broken I have looked at 4 different a6 black boxes and they are all broken. The part looks to only be a filter maybe. Can I block this off or perhaps use a a fishtank filter or something similar.

    Thanks

The ECU will matter, the auto ECU won't idle the car correctly and your mpg's will suffer.

Can you post up a pic?

This is where the piece goes.

This is the piece I took apart.

This is the other one I have you can see the cracks in it.

After doing some research this part is apparrently found on quite a few honda/acura cars for different things.
I will check and see if I can find one that is not broken on a newer car.

        36138-PM1-G01 honda part number
