i totally agree about the auto, that might be swap later on in the distant future. the power steering delete has been floating around for a while and will convert the steering to manual pinion.

there's a lot that i need to do, but baby steps lol

i filled up this morning and my mpg's went up to 28.6. couple of fill ups before were around 28.2.

i lowered (more like "slammed") the CB so i believe the .4 improvement was due to it. since i havent bought the $35 part that'll have my A/C working so the milage isnt including drivng with A/C on.

filled up this morning and calculated 29.01, also i have an exhaust and a muffler leak. wondering when i replace the axle back and change the fuel filter if i'll be able to pull the 30mpg (if i can keep the gains consistant) that i'm shooting for.

i have a few aero mods that i want to do but dont have much time to start nor find the resourses to find the materials i'm looking for/needing. hopefully i'll be able to complete some of the aero mods and improve my mpg's a bit more.

So I check mpg every fill up. I noticed highway speed is a big factor. At 65 mph when I'm on the highway I get 31-34 mpgs depending on how much city driving I do. I dip into 28 if I do 75 or more when on the highway. I know if I lived in a 75 mph state my mpgs would suffer. If you live in a state like Ohio try getting in the right lane and doing an honest 65 for a fill up. It works better than p/s delete.

I just drove back from Maryville TN and got 30-33MPG doing about 80+ the whole way home. Its was acutally better when I had the F22a1 intake mani on and doing about 65-70 I got 35MPG. That was also no AC the whole ride and no PS as well. I love my P/S delete and I won't ever go back, I mean yeah at times its hard to steer; but you can't beat the feed back I get through the steering wheel and the how much more direct and responsive the rack is now. When I had Power steering the rack was slow and it was a real annoyance. AC is a must though in this hell hole of high humidity and mosquito. Your city MPG is probably way better than mine but I just installed my F22a6 intake mani and I have been having fun letting the IAB's open up. My friends and I now refer to as VTEC M(Micro)

I don't know if its crossed your mind, but I went to a tire shop recently and they tried their best to sell me the high fuel efficiency tires and they don't seem like bad tires. That might help in your goal for High Fuel economy

i've being wanting to convert my PS to manual to save a bit more in MPG's. i've also thught of trying to do some type of tune (or detune) as well.

i think those high efficiant tires are tires that are hard rubber, meaning that they dont stick to the road much when rotating cause less friction. i heard that due to the less friction that the car handles worse at higher speeds.

The idea that the guy with the honda was talking about and the second vid where he actually made the system, is pretty interesting. Pretty smart to wrap/coil the line around the exhaus manifold. 8mpgs is a pretty good start, I also saw his vid he did after he installed the Aqua Tune system. Minimum of 25% it guarantees is pretty much almost the same as the system he made with the coiled wrapped exhaust manifold. I'm gonna look into some of the other things he mentioned in each of his vids to see what I can do.

On a side note, the way the front fenders are designed on the insight has been floating in my head to do on my CB for the passed month or so

welp, now that i have my a/c blowing my mpg's dropped to 24.5 :/. i guess when winter comes around i can pick up where i left off. hopefully by then i'll have some type of aero mods done and see if any mpg improvements happen.

I'm not sure how efficient my car is in MPG, but I get around 8L/100km. I figure I could go about 850km on a tank, as the furthest I've gone is 707km with about another 9L in the tank.

8L/100km is about 29 mpg. Pretty good.

I can't complain about it. I'm sure I could do better if I was able to drive on the highway without constantly having to work my way around shit drivers.
