My buddy has a 92 Cb that i'm working on helping him repair and the srs light is on and just after the car is started the check engine light illuminates, I jumped the jumper for the check engine light and it stayed solid so i"m guessing no codes. He said his car got broken into and that they used a shaved key to start it and drive off. Prior to them stealing the car there were no lights on the dash. My guess from what I read was that the clock spring might be bad or that he has a bigger problem in the srs fraying but i"m not sure I read about some red connector to use to disable the srs but my guess is the light would still be on after that. Lastly are there any places that can check for airbag codes from the Cb?

Did you get anywhere with your diagnosis?
You may want to try jumping that connector again. If there is a CEL while it is running I don't see why you can't pull the code(s) if you are doing it correctly. IIRC the SRS and ABS lights blink in the exact same manner for SRS and ABS codes.
