Like the title says, I had to use a cutoff wheel on the old bearing race to allow me to put a crack in it with a chisle because it was stuck pretty well to the spindle.
I nicked the spindle with the cutoff wheel, it's about an inch long and maybe 1/64th of an inch deep, however it is right where the new bearing race sits, not on either side, so I think im safe, those spindles are thick.
What do you guys think? Is this a potentially hazardous thing? I made it to work with a little fretting but everything seems fine.
