So i bought a 92 EX automatic with 166k on the clock for 300 bucks last night. the girl i bought it from said it was stuck in reverse. its not though. itll go into neutral, but every other gear i put it in is reverse. when the indicator light on the dash lights up neutral, the trans itself is actually in neutral. the shifter is EXTREMELY hard to move back and forth. i dont see anything abnormal inside the car in the center console, havent had a chance to look underneath at that connection yet. do you guys think its just my shift linkage stuck and/or worn out? the car sat for almost a year. or is it my transmission?

i would say the shift linkage is done. i would replace all of it. then i would do a drain and fill of honda ATF -

So the gear selector on the tranny doesnt move when i move the shifter inside the car. Does that mean the trannys junk?
