h22 acting up

So for about the past 2 weeks or so my car has been making a clicking sound, it kinda sounds like an electrical click almost like the fuel injectors click but louder and I also noticed my rpm gauge sometimes jolts up real fast (about 500-1000)then goes back to normal but its just the needle moving not my actual rps....what could it be..its also had a slight loss of power

I had this happening on my F22, it turned out to be an igniter unit issue.

make sure all your contacts are clean and don't have any corrosion on them though. I had a weird issue with my RPMs popping at anything above 6k to redline because the contacts on the igniter were corroded and the wires were very brittle/hard. I replaced those with better condition ones and my car was smooth at idle all the way up to redline.
