I need some help here guys. I have done some searches and have come up with nothing conclusive. My issue: '92 EX Coupe manual, electrically dies and then starts back up again. It is very intermittent. Yesterday I started the car and it died on me as I was backing out of the garage. It started right back up and ran fine to work and back. Today it started fine and half way to work I applied the brakes and felt the pedal pulse and then saw the stereo and clock turn off/reset. The power came right back on and drove fine the rest of the way to work. I have fuel in the tank, good fuel pressure, new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. The first day I experienced the issues, when I was starting the car I heard a snap (like a fuse blowing) under the dash somewhere. Not sure if this is related at all??? Hope someone has experienced this so I can get a quick resolution. This is my daily driver. Thanks, dc

OR it can be ignition switch. When your car dies, wiggle the key in the on position and see if things are turning on and off. If you have a volt meter, measure the power on the black/yellow wire on the ignition harness that plugs into the fuse box. If the ignition harness is bad that line will drop out while you drive and kill the car. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

True that! Unless someone ghetto rigged the deck directly to the column. Good catch.Originally posted by oyajicool View PostWhile a faulty ignition switch is possible cause of intermittent "power cut off", it shall not reset a clock. IMHO. I think the source of cause is closer to the battery.
