I just recently finished doing a head gasket and timing kit on my CB with an H22a ('91 LX with a '93 jdm h22a) and upon first start up the car ran just fine. after it sat for a day and i finished putting the hood and the little odds and ends on it i went to start it up and the battery light came on after about 3-5 min of running i checked the battery and alternator and both passed the tests but now if i tap the gas the car starts to do this odd stutter. If you push the gas any more than a tap it goes away and if you rev it past 4 grand the battery light turns off. Im only throwing a code for the O2 sensor heater which i was throwing before and i found that wire and am in the process of re attaching it. Has anyone had a similar issue that could shed some light on this so i can get my CB back on the road?? I would rather not buy a new alternator unless i had to. Thanks for any help or even if you just read it and scratched your head like i am.

Check your grounds, make sure everything is making contact right on bare metal.
Other than that it sounds like you have a bad alternator, this happened to me once and all I did was switch alternator and problem solved. Also check the wiring to the alternator that might be your problem as well.
