Ticking in upper end

I was going to suggest to run the engine without the VC. But since it was going to be messy, I didn't.
I was also going to say a sticky valve, but you said the clearances were fine. The head is only 7000miles old. And, you didn't complain about engine operation. So, I didn't.

But, look at that!! It's a some clearance,,,,,,.

Good thing it is running,,,

Ya the clearances were fine. What was happening is when I would shut it off it would pop back up. So I basically forced it up it def had a tiny bit of rust on it keeping it stuck. Put some seafoam on it so it should be good to go now. I drove it 35 miles to work.
