Clutch hose - flare nut size isseus

So I need to replace the clutch hose on my car because the banjo fitting is leaking slightly. So I get the part at o'reilly and the flare fitting is a 10mm. The flare nut on the line is a 12mm. The o'reilly part number crossreferences to the Honda part number. Is this an aftermarket fail or what gives. I'll have the Honda part tomorrow (46961-sm4-910). I'm worried that this will be the same problem though. All the parts for the auto/man conversion were taken off a cb7

Does anyone know what's the deal with the sizes and how to find the specs on that thread of the Honda part I listed above?

    Anyone? Bump

Can anyone run out and see what size flare nut they have attaching to the rubber clutch hose and the end of the hard line coming from rubber hose to the dampener. So what size nut is going into your dampener from the clutch hose and what size nut is on the other end connecting to the rubber hose I mean.

You'll find differences like that all the time with parts that are not OEM.

And, also, OEM changes stuff like that too over time. They revise the designs all the time as stuff comes up. If the replacement hose threads on, your good.

On my car the dampener takes 12mm so maybe the dealer part will too.

Ya thanks toy, the hose won't thread cuz the nut is 2mm too big. And I'm familiar with superseded parts but there's no reference to that anywhere in this case...

Ok so I'm screwed/pissed. The oem hose has a 10mm fitting. Problem is the s shaped hard line that goes from the rubber hose to the dampener has 12mm fittings. I don't know what to do now. I can find nothing about superceded parts or anything.

You could always go with something like this: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...asp?RecId=6161 and use a normal 3an line. would just need the proper banjo fitting on the other end.

              Cpmike, thanks.

Anyone replaced the entire clutch line bypassing damper? I'm gonna order a ss hose that goes from Mc to slave. That is going to be my solution. I'm just wondering how long I should order the hose?

That joint on the top of the tyranny is not needed right?

I'm waiting for the technafit people to call back. I just want to verify what fittings come on their kit.

Our fittings are 10 X 1.0 on the Mc and ss correct?
