    Megan Exhaust

I hope this goes under Technical, if not let me know I'll re-post under the correct forum. My exhaust system is just rusting away and my muffler just broke away from S pipe looking thing. It sounds horrible now and I'm thinking about buying Megan header, resonator, and cat back kit. Now I've always been the type of guy (keep it nice, not rice). I don't want that ricey sound to the muffler, it already looks ricey with the tip. It says "silencer" advertised with the kit. Does anyone have this kit and is it quiet or do I need to find another cat back kit?

I know for sure I want to stay with the Megan header & flex pipe.

Here is the cat back and the rest of the exhaust.

Megan header is fine, but I'm not a huge fan of their mufflers. To me, they are too raspy and high pitched. I personally like Magnaflow, Thermal R&D, or Apexi for mufflers. Each one of those has is a deeper tone, with different amounts of loudness.

Thanks man for the reply. I was doing some research and seen a video between megan and apexi, the apexi sounded pretty good. I'm check out the other ones you listed and see what I like best. I just don't want that ricey sound.

Also, if you can find one, Tanabe makes a great exhaust too.

For Thermal R&D, here is the one video I have found of it on an Accord. They used to make a catback, but it has since been discontinued. You can still buy their mufflers though, and then just piece together the rest of the exhaust piping and resonator. Personally, for my exhaust, my plans are to get a 2.5" Thermal R&D muffler, 18"x2.5" Magnaflow resonator, and 2.5" KTeller mandrel bent stainless piping. I like Thermal because its very similar to Magnaflow, but a bit more burbly, which I wanted.
