Installed new tails, "brake light" light now on..

    Hey guys,
I just installed some new tail lights and now the "Brake Lamp" light on my dash is on (I didn't even know I HAD a "brake light" light). I checked the connections and they all look fine, and the lights are all working fine... anyone have any ideas?

check the bulbs, and wiggle the connections. The brake light indicator is very picky, and sometimes goes off just for no reason. Mine does it off and on, but I usually just ignore it since i get tired of checking the bulbs all the time.

for me, i had a CB7 before this that had the same problem. I talked do some people they said it was normal for some cars for the light to just stay on all the time. If your lights are working correctly, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the chrome altezzas, and they have been on for about a year, and the light has been on the whole time, you just have to ignore it or pray that it burns out haha.

So I might have fried something? (I didn't take off any battery terminals) If I don't bother replacing the resistors, what's the worst that can happen? Burn out a couple bulbs?

hahaha well i had the same problem for a while and aftermarket tails don't use the brake light....or at least most of them.....just make sure the bulbs are ok, connections tight, if worse comes to work take it to a shop....after 5 months of having that stupid brake light thing on i took it to a shop and they fixed it for me. and it only cost me $10. worth a try if nothing u do helps. 99% sure there is no major concern. hope this helps. U R NOT ALONE!
