    Carb Block C.E.L. Code 12????

So your driving down the road and your C.E.L turn's on and is giving you code 12? So you go to a Honda dealership and buy every sensor in the EGR/EVAP system and spent a small fortune because you hate buying junk yard sensors and the DAMN light still turns on, And then you here it could actually turn out to be Carb block in the intake manifold?
Has this happened to any one else?
Could CARB bloack in the EGR area be my problem?
(Please note: Every sensor is brand new from Honda. Even the EGR sensor on the intake manifold.)

It "could" be anything. I think the question you meant to ask is has this happened to anyone else or is Carb in the EGR possible.

Its happening to me too, I've changed EGR's, I've changed Intakes, throttlebottle gaskets, black vacuum boxes and I still get a CEL throwing code 12, If you ever find out please post it, Im beginning to get frustrated. I wonder if its wasting or saving gas?

I noticed that you've used Carb, I wonder if that might be the problem? I havn't used Carb, but I have used Seafoam. Which is sort of the same type stuff. My only guess is that it's something on the Intake side, and that It has something to do with my mass air flow sensor because It only comes on when the car is warmed up, right where it would switch from fast idle to O2 control.

The only thing that I havnt changed or cleaned on the intake are the injectors and the gaskets for them. I'm rewiring the connections to the black box this weekend hopefully that will fix it but I'm not getting my hopes up

Yes but 99.9% of the time its clogged EGR ports. Its been years since I've seen an EGR component failure on a CB7, yet I do EGR port cleanings on them all the time. Easiest way to tell is with the car running at idle, pull the vacuum line off the EGR valve and put a vacuum pump on the valve, if the engine doesn't stall right away when you pump it, the ports are clogged.

I tried the vacuum pump idea and the engine did nothing so I replaced the EGR on the intake manifold and then retried the vacuum thing and the engine stalled. Then I replace the EGR stuff in the Black vacuum box and then replaced every vacuum line. Then I replaced the two way valve above the gas tank. After that the CEL still came on. SO I pulled off the EGR on the intake manifold and spayed Carb cleaner in there and took a coat hanger and tried cleaning it out. I then put the EGR back on and started it back up and for a while it tricked me into thinking it wads gone but about 30 minutes into my drive !BAM! Back again. I have check Voltages and all sorts of stuff and everything is working accord to dealer specs. And so I changed the ECU's and used an H23 ECU and the light still came on. So it is not my P13. (Please not this is a USDM H22 swap CB7 Accord) I am so lost! I think it is Carb Build up but it could also be wiring an issues but every thing seems to check out. The car ran fine for a year with the swap then one day BAM! Now I am up shit creek.

Yes, you need to do what everyone in here has told you, and clean out the actual EGR ports on the intake runners. The valve is not usually the problem, but EGR ports on the intake runners get clogged with carbon build up. This link tells you how to remove the ports and properly clean the EGR system.

Yep, you have to drill into the port plugs (there are six), and pull them out with a slidehammer. Next, clean out all the carbon and make sure the little holes at the bottom of the ports are clear. Lastly, install new port plugs. Matter of fact, I think there is a DIY with pics around here somewhere.

Is it possible to vclean the EGR port by taking the intake off?

My engine is an ODB1 H22 so the intake does not have those holes to drill out like on the F22. So I am probably going to pull the intake manifold pff to fix the EGR CARB block issue! I am not going to drill into my expensive intake that runs the ricks of putting shavings in the engine and ruining my intake manifold. Besides it is probably easy to pull the intake off and clean it out with a wire brush and soak it in some kinda liquid for a couple days.
What is the best liquid to soak it in??????

Spray engine degreaser in the intake manifold?
I don't think that would be a good idea..

Yea they have some stuff at Autozone that I can soak the manifold in, but I have to take the manifold off the car in order to saok it.
Putting Seafoam in a vaccuum line is not cutting it enough.
