    problem with my ignitor

Before I start changing things up again
    I'm working with a 92 coupe

My simpton is while driving from a stop the car will jolt (as in trying to die then staying on)
I have had a Bouncing tac since last week, but today the car started throwing this fit (which I cant think is good for the engine). New wires, new spark plugs. J.y dizzy, I also replaced the ignitor with a j.y one. It does idle fine and start fine, and constant speeds can be held but if im not careful on acceleration it will jump and buck attempting to die. Also if I grab another gear early I can avoid the jolting

Im parinoid its either the dizzy or ignitor and I have one extra of each, and I have looked through a few other threads before posing this.

Just trying to throw some things out...how is your alternator? Is it plugged and snapped in. I had similar issues with bouncing tach and stalling and my plug was broken and would not seat.

yeah your symptoms are sounding like a bad ignitor, replace it with a known good one.
I had 2 new autozone ignitors bad from the store and had too use a old Hitachi out of another dizzy too get my high rpm sputter and jumping tach symptoms too go away.

I changed out my ignitor this morning (love how easy it is with a moveable cold air)
It sorta went away the really horrible bounce is gone but it still likes to boumce a bit il deffently take a look at my grounds again and my alt (never though of it with my lights at night being no problem )

The symptom is extremely hard to expalin but its a sudden loss of power them acceleration again and sometimes it tries doing this 1 to 4 times in a row unless im SUPER easy (like grandma driving easy)

          Have you checked for codes?

sounds like the ignitor is bad, or a bad ground wire on the engine is going bad (transmission, or thermostat)

I have it running well right as we speak. although interesting enough when at idle it shows nothing (I have a auto cluster as my manual one odometer died) Don't know if that changes up stuff. When I go through my gears as I go up in revs it just fly's up to the revs to where I shift at ( I end up listing to my exhaust sound for shift points)
I am prepaired I have a extra distributor and ignitor in my trunk not letting that go to chance..

                Lets see how it goes

                Thanks for the help

I hope you used the same manufacturers cluster for the swap, ie. NS or ND.

I did miss what cluster (NS/ ND) I put in all I was looking for was one that closest matched my mileage and had all the lights the last came with. I will be on that along with the information you gave me thanks
