    F22B Camshaft in F22a

This is for all you smarties out there. I got a F22B Vtec camshaft which i'm trying to sell. I want to know if this camshaft will work in a F23a. The part numbers are slightly different, but I thought that they would being they are very similar heads. 4111-PAA-A00, and 14111-P0A-000.

Someone plz let me know for sure (Ghost Accord?)

    Thanks.

Basing similarities on part numbers is false logic and gives no useful information. Two very different parts could have similar numbers but two parts that are backwards compatible could have very different numbers.

The camshafts from the F22B1 and F23A1 are backwards compatible in terms of fitment. They are not, however, the same. The profile on the F23A1 camshaft is different. Some people swap these cams into their F22B1.

Also, your title doesn't really deal with the subject matter of your post.

I'm confused about what your asking. F22B in F22A or F23 or what?

      F22B cam on F22A, no.
      F22B cam in F23A, yes.

F22B1 and F23A1 camshafts interchange but have different profiles.

Oh sry I mean to say F23a in the title. So its just the profile that's different... They think the lobes are bigger on the F23a, that's all?

          Difference in size and shape.

If you don't know much about camshaft specs now the time to learn.

Duration, lift and lobe separation. There's more to a camshaft than lobe size.
