    Average temp needle position

So where does everyone's engine temperature needle sit at running temperature? Mine sits dead center, 50-60 % depending on the weather. Is this hot or abnormal? I didn't think so from every Accord I've been in, nor from my own.

Mine sits right at the center or slightly under, like 45-50%. Always been like that, before and after H22 swap.

I replaced my thermostat with the Honda part and it tended to be a little under center..45%.

In the new ex wagon it also sits a little low.

      edit:
If you want more definite answers you can remove the thermostat and stick it in a pot of water on the stove and measure when it opens to see if it meets spec.

also i'm not very familiar with the cooling system but off the top of my head there is also a temperature sending unit involved. also easy to check if you have a slow leak in the coolant. but i have a feeling you're ok.

I only ask because there's a video of a 91 accord doing a pull and someone was dissing the guy for letting his engine temp get so high when it was at 50-60 %. He claims to be from these forums and says that everyone here would laugh at somebody for saying an engine temp of 50 % on the needle is nominal.
