I deleted my old thread, I thought it was pointless but I wanted to sum up how I narrowed my problem down with the bogging/timing. It all started after I converted to a manual. Here's the parts I swapped below.
New:
Timing belt
Dizzy
O2
ECT <---- (problem causer)
IAT
Wires/Plugs
Vacuum hoses
Mods:
Cut off Cat
MT swap
How I figured this out was I decided to check to see if I was throwing any CEL codes even though it didn't show when I started up the car. Well I did the service check over on the passenger side jumping the connector.
I got the error of 6, so I replaced the ECT and it made no difference, then replaced the connector and that didn't help. Then I though well... maybe it's the ground.. Still made no difference grounding it out to the chassis.
So this evening I took some CAT6 that was laying around at work and used 2 pairs to connect the ground from the ECT and connect the positive to D13 on the ECU. After that the code went away and I re-timed my car.
Now I don't suggest using CAT6, this is a temp fix for me. I'm going to rewire and make it look nice in the engine bay, but as for right now I really don't care. The problem was driving me nuts, and it was so hard to accelerate especially with AC on... Missouri is very humid and sucks during the day.
So if anyone is having a similar issue with their ECT I thought I would post this some maybe it could help someone out there. I did so much freaking research and then came up with this in my google search:
http://www.d-series.org/forums/engin...mp-sensor.html
This link helped me a lot. I figured it had something to do with my harness, but I wanted to get as much information as possible before tearing more crap apart. I really do hope this helps someone in the future if they come across this pain in the butt problem.
