    block to head clearance

as the machine shop finished my block they said that one of the pistons sticks out .016-.017(16-17 thousands, i cant remember). now as to my question will the 5 layer headgasket from bisimoto give me enough clearance? crushed thinkness is .046
is .030 enough piston to head clearance?

    turbo'ed motor

ive also read that the stock pistons push out .005 and oem headgasket is only .026?
so there is only a clearance of .0255??

There is no definitive answer. It also depends on your camshaft lift and duration, camshaft timing, valve reliefs in the piston, and normal production variances. You need to clay the head.

not piston to valve, im talking about piston to head because the piston comes out of the block a little. but i will be claying the block for piston to valve also

also the cam specs should be
            0.396″ intake lift/0.410″ exh (214 deg at 0.040″ int/229 deg exh)
