for further reference 91accord4door...id like for you to be a little more specific about your subject titles. the reason i say this is the search feature. when someone tries to find a post about a certain thing, its hard cause people dont word the subjects correctly...yet if we all have specific titles it will help everyone in the future.
im going to change the title of this thread....
but now for yours....internally...
dont use engine cleaners that are for your oil, those are not too good and usually lead to bad things. there are a couple of products that are debatable that i have tried that cleaned the internal oil area without any problems...PM me for info on that.
as for the intake system as xplode said, seafoam is great. you spray it in the throttle body and it cleans out the system. if you cant find sea foam (aresol can) <---excuse my spelling...use anything that is safe for sensors....i have a DIY in the DIY forum on cleaning your throttle body.
the injection system a good fuel cleaner is lucas fuel treatment...small yellowy green cap bottle about $4. it not only cleans, it conditions the seals...something that some people tend to forget. another alternative is chevron fuel injection cleaner thats $6+
try not to use oil additives or anything like slick 50, zmax, or anything that modifies oil to make it "betteR" they just are not good...and a waste of cash...
use the search button in the future....yet the things i said wernt coverd before. hope i helped...What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
