    Scraped Front Underside, possible damage?

    Good Afternoon,

Today while driving I decided to jump a bump in a hurry of making the light. Well I dented the oil pan pretty good, and the transmission has a nice gash on the front of it as well. My concern more than anything is, it is possible that I could of damaged my sub frame, motor, or transmission? I love this vehicle just made a stupid choice on my part. I'm more concerned about the frame than anything.

You could drop another cb7 on the roof of your cb7 and not damage the subframe.

The motor mounts would break off before the subframe would bend significantly.

Just be glad the motor mounts didn't break and fix the oil pan.

Awesome, yeah I plan to replace the pan alright. I need a new oil pan gasket any way, it looks like it's been gasket-ed with just RTV. I feel stupid for lowering the damn thing now. I've had more problems since I've done it.

When you get the pan off, make sure to check that the oil pickup wasn't damaged by the pan being dented.

My trans case has scrape marks all over it from being lowered. As long as it's not leaking any trans fluid then you are ok.

In the direction that the subframe was hit, it would be really hard to damage it. You may have dented an area or scraped the crap out of it. But, as long as the mounting positions didn't change, then you don't have to worry about it.

Also I would check out your lower control arms and other steering and suspension components. Check for play and see if anything is loose. Inspect your axles and make sure they aren't dislodged or broken.
Unless you did all of this. Sorry just trying to help.
