    Whistling sound?

I replaced my exhaust, had a shop fix the eBay induced problems, and I'm hearing this weird high pitched whistling while the engine is under load. This is driving out of the shop lot, so I'm doubting it's exhaust.

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak, or your stereo hasnt been grounded correctly. Make sure stereo is turned down. Check your vacuum lines.
sold! But here's my build thread for those interested.

Does the pitch of the whistle change with the rpm of the motor?

        Could be an intake leak.

I don't think so, it's really only there when the engine is under load, it's harder to get it to do it when it's parked.

So there's a whistling sound when the car is moving but doesn't exist when car is stopped?

That could possibly be window seals or the seals around doors, does your car leak water at all? That could explain one possibility as to why you only hear this sound when moving.

Also, check all your firewall grommets etc. A friend had one missing in his car that caught heaps of air and made that sound.

It's a engine noise, I can briefly get it to happen when revving the engine. It might be coming from the intake thingy, but it's hard to tell.

Here's a video of me driving it around, and revving the engine. You can hear it, high whistling noise.

let the car idle, plug the muffler with something, if theres a small exhaust leak itll start whistling then or youll at least be able to hear it, if they welded anything there might be a pinhole or the flange bolts need snugged up

That's great! Going to try that. I'm pretty sure it's in the engine bay tho

It kinda sounded like a tight timing belt to me.

It needs to be replaced... And it kinda sounds like a belt

It shouldn't be exhaust, let's just say that.

kinda a weird coincidence though, usually when new stuff pops up after doing things, you should take a step back and double check

Of course, Im still going to check exhaust.
I think I'm hearing it now, as before I had a giant hole it my exhaust underneath of the cabin
