anyone know whats the deal with the DC header studs? because i have 3 honda OEM studs... and the threads seem different.. or should they be going in hard as hell? PS i cleaned out the threads with a wirebrush.. nothing

I bought a used DC before (missing the bolts) and i didn't reuse the Honda manifold to downpipe studs. If it's scraping up the stud like that even with a vise grip when it's not seated yet, the thread pitch is probably different. I guess you don't have a tap/die set do you (so you can see what the thread pattern is)? If not, I'd take the upper half of the DC and go down to the hardware store to find some bolts that do fit. I prefer using the regular stainless steel bolts anyways.Comment
