It is missing, or bumps when it is reved high and i stomp it to the floor. The check engine lights turns on after it happens a couple of times, but it always goes away when i turn the car off and then on again.

i tried to wire up the cel wiring harness.... It didn't work. The cell only comes on while the car is still running. So i tried to do it then, didn't work. so i turned the car off, on click with the key. Then turned it back on to acc position and the cell was gone. Is there any other way i can check it ???

Reach behind the center console, cut a slice through the carpet(it won't be noticeable), then lift the kick panel on the passenger side off. Pull back the carpet and look down at the ECU. With the key in the ACC position, the code will be flashing if there's one stored.

or have a friend jump the connector while youre still driving... and have him look over your shoulder and count the blips while you keep your eyes on the road

If you jump the 2 pin plug behind the kick panel on the passenger side then turn the key to the "ON" position, it should flash the code on the check engine light. Works for me every time.

okay, this is kinda stupid but just to make sure i am doing it right... I stick the paper clip in each side of the connector and that is it, it should work right??
