    CEL coming on

freeway driving it never comes on, but when im in stop and go traffic after the car is up to temp i get the CEL and can smell what smells like a carbon burn smell.

could this be my catylitic converter, or should i be looking for something else.

My idea is to change cat, o2 sensor, and get new cap rotor plugs/wires. Should this make my problem go away or am i thinking in the wrong direction.

ok i checked the location on a walkthrough provided and found a brown plug with 2 wires plugged into it when i have the key on the car makes a dinging sound when the connector is out of place. only thing is that i get no codes. only thing i get blinking when i try to pull codes is the seat beat light. But my check engine light does come on from time to time when im driving in stop and go traffic

This link should help you out:
Do It Yourself - ECU Codes - Taken from here: http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1171263 Here is a how to video for checking CEL Right Click Save As (http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr?i=wMzc4NjA5NnM0MTNkZmQzMXk1NDE%3D) here is a pic of the Jumper to check the codes...

*edit* but the CB7's connector is blue not gray like the one pictured.
