Can you take a pic of the needle? You probably broke it off if you pulled it out, I went through 3 clusters before I realized what I did. The needle should have about a 1/2" or a little longer stem on it, if it dont then you know that it broke apart. Also if you get another gauge cluster you cant switch out auto/manual clusters, or at least a auto wont work in a manual (speedo and gauge/temp gauges will work but not the tach, and all the lights-blinkers-batter-bright lights-ect. wont work right). Also you'll need to look on the speedo and see if your cluster has a NS or NT on it (under unleaded fuel only)that determines what company made the cluster and you have to get the same one or it wont plug into your wiring harness, but it'll probably be the NS.

fizuck, the needle came off and has like a 1/2 cm piece of metal on it. Its the whole part that goes down the thing. Im gonna try and just stick it on there for now and make sure to refill every so many miles and get a new one when i get some mo money and get a job. A job would be nice right now. You're my hero tonighta "a layin k", thats the new short version of your name. Sounds like you had some of the same probs im having.2010 Taurus SHO - Livernois Goodies

Yea I went through that...but you know that the rest of the needle stem is still inside there, and its not really possible to get it out...but you can just replace the gas/temp gauge and leave the rest but I think honda wanted about $700 or something really stupid for that one gauge...and its kinda hard to get everything lined back up. So for now just keep filling it up and when you get a chance go to a junkyard and get the right cluster(remember NS or NT and Auto or Manual), my first cluster was $20 and the second was $55. Hope this helped out. But really call your Honda dealer and ask them how much a gauge will cost if you want a laugh.

I kept on messing with mine cause i thought i did something wrong i had a mustang before once you shut the car off the gas needle goes down. on a honda i believe it stays like that at all times I though that maybe i did something wrong so i figure no problem here comes mr fix it . then i fucked something up.

fuck these gauges. They werent worth the trouble they havve caused me now. The speedo is sticking at like 20 now and i dont even think that the gauges turn on. This is what i get for a)buying from a shady dealer. b) fucking with something i had no idea about. and c) fucking with what was not broken already. Im just gonna hit up a junkyard and try and just get the gas/temp gauge. Then im gonna take off the gauges and send them back to hell where they came from.2010 Taurus SHO - Livernois Goodies

Since your gonna get a new cluster anyway you might wanna take it apart, take the overlays off and cut off the original speedo gauge face(its pretty thick and hard to cut, and dont take the needle off) and then fix the overlay around the needle, thats what I did. Because my speedo would get stuck at about 40mph and I took it all apart an noticed the problem was that the needle was getting caught because the original gauge face and the overlay was too thick and causing the needle to come in contact with the overlay. So take it apart and hold the cluster in the air and turn it different directions (to get the needle to move through the speeds) and see where it gets stuck and you'll probably notice that the needle is hitting the new gauge overlay (it should stop at 20mph, since thats where its sticking), so then you can cut the old gauge face, and make sure to use the screws to hold it down. Hope this helps out.
