hey guys help me out just did a tranny swap in a 96 accord lx 2.2l automatic
just wondering what my rpms should be at about 70mph or 75mph
my engine is taching at 3500rpms for 70mph and about 3250rpm for 75mph
this seems a little high to me. any ideas? normal or not?

I have a 91 Automatic and my tach reads right around 3000 for 70mph and about 3500 for 78 to 80. Your tach sounds right according to mine.

i have that issue, at 70 im at 3400..found out im doing faster than 70 cause my spedo is off from my bigger tires lol!

Just an FYI, its "RPM," not "RMPS" thats like saying "Revoulitions Per Minutes."

There are a few sites you can go to that calculate speed with bigger size wheels. I used them when i got my 18's and now with my 17's. Im about 1.2% to slow or something like that. Oh well, its about $300 to get my speedo recalibrated.
