On the passenger side door of my 1990 Accord, the socket where the seatbelt plugs into wont go back, and hasnt for sometime now. Its to the point where the passenger has to use the lap belt only because the strap wont work.. I hear the bepping noise constantly because the shoulder strap isnt locked into place the correct way...Anyone with experience or any idea can help?

Yep, Honda has a LIFETIME seat belt warranty. If any part of any of the seatbelts goes bad or stops working just take it to the dealer and they will handle it for you free of charge.Originally posted by FushigiRESHonda guarantees the seat belt to be operational for the life of the car. Take it back to Honda and have them fix it for free..

Not so in my case....I-79 Honda in PA wanted to charge me $900 bucks to replace the drivers side seat belt. I said screw them and got a $75 Sparco harnass. Turns out it wasn't even the seat belt. It was a blown capacitor in the seat belt control unit.
The bastards wanted $900 and it wouldn't have fixed anything......

Honda's lifetime warranty only applies to the actual belt and buckle. It does not apply to the motorized track system or the belts ability to retract. At the dealers discretion they can be replaced however MOST dealers would rather make the customer pay then have to go threw warranty.
A friend of mine with a 1990 Accord had issues with him and after having the Honda factory rep come down and explain the exact details about the warranty and what's covered we found out the motorized system was indeed not covered and is a "customer pay" item.
The best thing for your to do if yo udo indeed think it should be warrantied is contact Honda of America and set up an appointment with a rep. Maybe the rep in your area will honor it... but since they're company oriented I doubt it.
You've got nothing to lose.
